Mourien

Mourien is an occasional volunteer who sometimes provides cover for other assistants, as and when it is needed.  You may also see her lending a helping hand at shows.

A mother, grandmother, and aunt to dozens, Mourien has decades of experience with children and young people - from raising her own family to working as a dinner lady, being a home-stay for foreign students, setting up a children's netball club and working with Brownies and Guides. Mourien has worked with children from a wide range of backgrounds, including those with disabilities and little to no English. She volunteers at her local primary school, helping especially with the children's reading, her passion for literature and theatre inspiring the imaginations of even the most unwilling. Mourien is gentle, caring and maternal yet firm and is a natural at bringing creative learning opportunities to every scenario.

Kind, and with a brilliant sense of humour, Mourien's commitment to ensuring every child gets the opportunity to fulfil his/her full potential is at the heart of everything she does.
